General terms & conditions
1. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all proposals, offers, agreements, and services provided by Delphine Petit-Postma (hereinafter: “the Celebrant”). The version active at the time of booking is the binding version.
2. Definitions
- Delphine Petit-Postma: The international wedding celebrant, referred to as “I”.
- Client: The couple entering into the agreement.
3. Booking, Payment & Rates
3.1. The agreement is official after written confirmation and receipt of a deposit of at least 20% of the total amount. This deposit secures the date and covers initial preparation costs.
3.2. The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the ceremony.
3.3. Travel Expenses: For travel within the Netherlands and abroad, a fee of € 0.50 per kilometer driven will be charged (based on the fastest route according to Google Maps), unless otherwise agreed.
3.4. Additional Costs: Any parking fees, tolls, or necessary accommodation costs (for long-distance or international ceremonies) are to be covered by the Client.
3.5. Municipal Fees: Any municipal fees for an “officiant for a day” (BABS voor één dag) are not included in my fee and must be paid by the Client directly to the municipality.

4. Cancellation
In case of written cancellation by the Client, the following costs apply:
- From booking up to 30 days before the ceremony: the deposit (or 30% of the total amount).
- Between 30 and 14 days before the ceremony: 60% of the total amount.
- Within 7 days of the ceremony: 100% of the total amount.
5. Force Majeure & Liability
5.1. In case of force majeure (illness, accidents, extreme weather, or unforeseen traffic delays), the Client cannot claim damages.
5.2. In case of inability to attend, I will exercise the utmost care in finding a qualified replacement to perform the ceremony using the prepared script.
5.3. Liability is limited to the total contract amount. Dutch law applies to all agreements.

6. Intellectual Property & Privacy
6.1. All scripts and speeches written by me remain my intellectual property. These may not be made public or used by third parties without prior permission.
6.2. Personal data is processed solely for the execution of the ceremony in accordance with GDPR regulations.
6.3. Portfolio: I reserve the right to use (in consultation) visual materials from the ceremony for my portfolio, website, or social media, unless the Client explicitly objects in advance.
